Heat Tune Up On 17 Year Old Gas Furnace Changed Air Filter Cleaned Flame Sensor Checked Gas Valve Pressure, Within Range Blower Motor Amping In Range Blower Capacitor Is Reading Out Of Range, Recommend Replacing. Blower Wheel Is Slightly Dirty Unit Turns Off After About 6 Minutes Of Run Time. This Is Going Off On Limit, Meaning The Unit Is Getting Too Hot To Run Safely And Shuts Off. Recommend Having A Second Opinion To Look At The Heat Exchanger. The Elimination For The Stack Is Filled With Foam And Not Approved For This Use. Not Properly Eliminating The Stack Can Allow For Gases To Leak Back Into The Home. The Stack Should Be Hard Pipe All The Way Through And Also Have Supports. Gas Lines Also Should Have More Clearance From The Vent Piping. Due To Age And Cost Of Repairs I Recommend Having A Free Replacement Consultation.

Upon Arrival Started To Do Inspection On Unit. During This Inspection We Do A Visual, And Mechanical Inspection. During This Inspection We Look For For Anything That Is Health, Safety Or Mechanical Issues. When I Go To Unit The Unit Is Very Old And Dirty. You Can See That The Label Is Burnt Off The Side Of Unit And Marks Of Burning On Back Wall Of Furnace. This Is A Sign That System Is Over Heating. The System Is Completely Covered In Dirt. Combustion Test Is Showing Weird Readings. There Is A 70 Degree Temperature Split. Cleaning The System May Solve The Issues However The System Is Very Old. I Looked At The Heat Exchanger I Am Not Seeing Any Cracks Or Holes Or Damage Visible.

We Performed Your Tune Up And Discovered That You Humidifier Was Not Even Connected. Your Air Filter Is Not Even Connected. Your Flue Pipe Is Not Pitched Properly. Your Burners Are Rusted And Some Corrosion, We Scoped You Heat Exchanger And Your Heat Exchanger Is Rusted And It Looks Like Potential Cracks Were Discovered. We Did Combustion Analysis Of Your Furnace. Co Is Within Allowable Limits, However Your Carbon Dioxide And Oxygen Levels Are Off And Show That There Is Air Intrusion To The Exhaust. With The Signs I Am Seeing I Am Required To Shut Your System Down And Have You Sign The Heat Exchanger Form.

Blower Motor, Heat Pack, Condenser Fan Motor, Compressor, And Refrigerant Levels Test Within Range. Boards Are In Good Condition. Electrical Connections Tight And Clean. No Recommendations At This Time.
