Upon Arrival Boiler Was Not Firing Up.
Went To Boiler And Found That The Zone Thermostats Were Calling At The Zone Board, And Zone Board Was Sending Power To The Zone Valves However The Zone Valves Are Not Opening All The Way To Make The End Switch. I Tried To Manually Open However It Is Stuck The Body Is Bad On Zone 1 And Zone 3. The Zone Valves Need To Be Replaced. Also System Was Low On Water Pressure. There Is No Auto Fill On The Boiler. Only Zone 2 Valve Works Is The Laundry Room. However This Is A Old Mercury Thermostat That Is Not Accurate Temperature Wise. For Now I Am Going To Put The Main Heat Onto That Zone So It Will Heat The House As A Temporary Repair.
All Three Zones Heating And Returning Hot.
Homeowner Aware This Is Not A Complete Fix.

Turned On Boiler, Increased Water Pressure. Only 2 Areas Coming Back Hot. Pump Operates Within Range. Area Around Boiler Appears Wet.
Replaced Relief Valve And Expansion Tank. Purged Air From System. All Areas Getting Hot Upon Departure.

Found Gas Valve To Be Failing Intermittently. Replaced Gas Valve, Toggled Power Several Hundred Times To Verify That Was The Root Cause. System Did Not Fail With New Gas Valve. System Running Upon Departure.

Thermostat Has Visual Heat Damage
Thermostat Is Not Sending 24 Volts To The Unit
Unit Is Also Not Receiving 120 Volts
Found Breaker To Be Flipped Due To Bad Fan Control Center
Called Homeserve For Approval To Replace Fan Control Center.
We Are Also Replacing The Thermostat At The Same Time Through The Customer.
Strong Recommendation To Have A Tune Up Performed On This Boiler. Regular Maintenance Will Help Prolong The Life Of Your Boiler, Which Is 32 Years Old.

System Giving E2 Fault. Toggled Power, Error Code Still Persists. Boiler Pressure Found To Be At 0 Psi On Internal Gauge Verified Pressure Is At 0 With External Gauge. Tech Support Stated Boiler Pressure Should Be At 17 And Advised Replacing The Auto Feeder. All Valves Are Open Going Into The Boiler. Auto Feeder Is Failed, Advise Replacement.

Viessmann V7459305-CombiPLUSSystem Giving E2 Fault. Toggled Power, Error Code Still Persists. Boiler Pressure Found To Be At 0 Psi On Internal Gauge Verified Pressure Is At 0 With External Gauge. Tech Support Stated Boiler Pressure Should Be At 17 And Advised Replacing The Auto Feeder. All Valves Are Open Going Into The Boiler. Auto Feeder Is Failed, Advise Replacement.
Backed Boiler From Water Heater To Increase Boiler Pressure. Boiler Operates At This Time, Suggesting Low Boiler Pressure Was The Cause Of Failed Heating.
To Back Fill From The Water Heater I Used A 48 Inch Washing Machine Hose Placing It On The Water Heater Drain And The Boiler Drain. I Opened The Water Heater Drain, Then Unscrewed The Hose Slightly At The Boiler To Purge Air, Retightened Hose When I Got Water Out. Opened The Valve At The Boiler Slowly And Watched As The Pressure Gauge Rose To 20 Psi. I Then Closed The Valve At The Boiler And At The Water Heater And Removed The Hose.
Client Opted To Replace The Auto Feeder. Work To Be Completed On Friday. Deposit Paid Via Card.

No Heat On 6-7 Year Viessman Gas Boiler. Circulator Pump Seized (looks To Be Due To Corrosion) Replaced Pump And Purged. Water In Boiler Very Red Performed Combustion Test In High Fire System Exhaust Temp Higher Than Desired Indicates Block Needs To Be Cleaned. CO Levels Normal Advise Rust Inhibitor In Boiler And Flushing Out.
